There are so many coffee shop options to choose from in LA, so I want to highlight some amazing ones that are making a difference by giving back to the community or donating to a great cause. See the list below!
Muddy Paw Coffee:
One of my favorite coffee shops in the city. I love this place for a lot of reasons, but aside from the fact that they have such good drinks, make their chai in house, have fun menu names like “The Salty Dog” or the “Golden Retriever”, I love that parts of their proceeds go towards local organizations that help improve the lives of animals.
They also have 2 locations, Eagle Rock and Silverlake, so 2x the incredible drinks and 2x the chance to “buy a cup, save a pup”.

They have some great cappuccinos, but they also has a non-profit branch of their business. Part of their proceeds go to Community Programs around the LA area, and they also (pre-Covid) hosted their own classes to promote healthy living, mental well-being, and youth education
They still currently donate to local organizations and are looking forward to when they can open their classes back up.

Black Elephant Coffee:
The name itself interested me from the beginning since elephants are my absolute favorite animals. But it got even better when we realized part of this shop’s sales go towards the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) and environmental protection efforts!
They have lots of interesting signature coffee drinks, like a Beetroot Latte or a Honey Ginger CBD Tea Latte. The first drink I got was just matcha and it was really good, so now I want to keep going back to try different fun ones.

This place makes a perfect espresso, has great snacks, super friendly baristas, cares about sustainability, and gives to causes like childhood cancer, stopping sex trafficking, and animal rescues. Located in the west side of LA, this shop has been apart of the community for the last two decades.
